About Us

We have been working very hard behind the scenes and can finally share some really exciting news!
Over the past 6 years, Salisia has been hosting an annual fundraiser during Human Trafficking Awareness month that originally started as a one-time event.  This annual event known as "The Allure Fashion Show" or "Salisia's Kloset Fashion Show" has had a positive impact on the community and has taken on a life of its own.  Our very first event was held downtown, Chicago in a beautiful space provided by Drinker Biddle Reath Law Firm and our most recent event was held on January 16, 2021 in Houston, Texas and directed by Haus of Brown.  As you can imagine, it's been challenging yet rewarding to grow what was supposed to be one event, into an annual celebration of our community combating human trafficking.
Whether far or near, it has been the support of each of you that has helped us spread our wings in a more meaningful way.  After working in her own community, hosting fundraisers, and networking with other like-minded philanthropists, Salisia decided to start her own 501c3 organization named, Blue Freedom Project. Salisia noticed a huge gap in resources for victims trying to transition back into the "normal" working world and that is what caused her to form this organization.
So, with that being said, we are pleased to announce that Salisia’s Kloset is re-branding from being a for-profit business supporting non-profit organizations to becoming a non-profit organization of its own.  Salisia's Kloset will no longer be an active name and all future events and business will be conducted under our nonprofit name, the Blue Freedom Project.
Blue Freedom Project - What does the name mean?
Blue stand for the human trafficking awareness color.
Freedom stands for our work in combating human trafficking to set victims free.
Project stands for the work we will do each and everyday with our nonprofit organization.

Although our name has changed as well as our logo, our work in the community and our annual fundraising events will continue. We appreciate your support!
